School Charters

Mix your education with pleasure in the company of harbor seals, bald eagles, ospreys, and oyster farmers. Damariscotta River Cruises makes for an unforgettable school excursion for ages 5 to 95!

TECIANI - 49-passengers ex-navy boat, certified by the USCG

We are pleased to offer a fun and educational platform to learn about Maine oyster farming, aquaculture, taste the world famous Damariscotta River oyster, and more, while viewing wildlife.

The charge is $550 per hour for school charters if the time doesn’t interfere with our scheduled tours.

We provide life jackets for all the children under the age of 12.

If you wish us to supply the educators, we have worked closely together with oyster farmers, and specialists from the Darling Marine Center, Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust (formerly known as Damariscotta River Association), Maine Sea Grant, Maine Aquaculture Associa- tion, to name a few, and our captain is well versed in all aquaculture on the Damariscotta River as well.
